I have been to this location many times with high hopes. I usually will shop online then go into the store. Sometimes I drop in if I am nearby. The store has a very limited selection and no depth of stock. Customer service is non-existent, when you can locate an associate. Lines are always long. Usually, the store looks like a rummage sale. Things seem out of place and strewn around. Today I went in to purchase a rangefinder, Thought I would save a trip to Auburn Hills. WRONG. After being rudely treated and ignored by the four people working the back counter in a largely empty store, I went to seek a manager. He chose to defend their actions. I also inquired about price matching, since they were 100.00 more than any other store and by the way on a discontinued item. I was given a long song and dance about in store, advertised purchases, blah, blah, blah. How about, sure sir, let me see what we can do. This was the last in a long line of disappointments at this store. I am done wasting my time. I had to give it one star to post, should be zero. UPDATE I did follow up with "Crystal" and got another standard canned reply from a different pseudonym, "Katherine". After providing a little more information, I thought they would reach out. Never happened. Better off, I went down the road and found a better price and a discount at Bass Pro.

I enjoy this location, as you can often get a parking spot near the door. The firearms area is much better than it used to be, and the staff is friendlier. Being a bargain shopper, I often wish the clearance prices were a little better, or the selection in various departments were a little greater.

It's easy to see why they are closing their doors for good. Even with the 50%-80% discount, the savings were going to be minimal.

They do have the best selection of firearms to get a feel if you may like it or not. Optics as well, available to pick up and scope the store. They do treat you like a number, you even take a number, if you haven't decided what to look at, well, they'll come back to you. (Or maybe not). I personally like to look around, then go to a "mom and pop shop" where they know you and greet you as such. There are plenty in the area within a five minute drive.

It is Gander Mtn, I just want to buy everything. I am not allowed to go unsupervised.... Edit: Thanks Colton, I wish that I had realized that you responded. I was here one again the other day for the sales. Bought some more things (some rifle/pistol targets) and I am sure that I will be back for some hunting gear. Sad to hear ya'll are going out of business but good to hear that Gander is coming back in a different way.
