My puppy had a fishing hook in her paw and in her mouth. We ran her to Garden State Veterinary at 9:30 p.m on a Sunday. They took her right in and began to asses her condition and stop the bleeding. They were wonderful with us as well. They were AMAZING. They quickly removed the hooks and stitched her up.. She is home and feeling better... Garden State Veterinary has a Wonderful, Professional and Caring staff.. Thank You!!!!!

When my puppy was acting strange. I rushed him right to this veterinarian. They took great care of my baby and made him feel so much better. The doctor explained to me in great detail about his behavior and what puppies attitudes are like. He understood and threw my worries away. I wish I could keep this vet as my babies permanent doctor. Unfortunately they do not offer that service.

Giving this place one star is specifically because I can’t chose 0 stars. I called my vet to see if I could bring my cat in. It seems that he hadn’t gone to the bathroom in a few days, but unfortunately my vet was closing. They told me to bring him to this place. I get there and they immediately take him to the back. Now, my cat is afraid of everything and gets really nervous and freaks out if I’m not there. I’m filling out paper work, and when I’m done they put me in a room. About 20 minutes later a vet comes in and asked me what was wrong. So I told her about the blockage. She leaves and comes back and tells me “it doesn’t seem like he has a blockage. But his jaw is broken.” I said “what?”....now this threw me really off guard because he was eating dry food without any issue right before we left the house. She said “We did an exam and it seems as though his jaw is broken. We can do X-rays if you would like. Or you can bring him to Tinton Falls. We think he needs surgery to fix his jaw. This didn’t happen here.” Now I’m SO confused, because why would someone say “this didn’t happen here.” I tell her I’ll take him to Tinton Falls. She brings him back in the room, and he has a cone on and the cone is FILLED with blood and he looks so scared. They charged me $300 for basically nothing. Then I got to thinking once I left....I find it a bit odd that I walked in there with a cat who couldn’t poop but walked out with a cat who now needs surgery on his miraculous broken jaw. MY best guess is that when they took him in the back and I wasnt there he freaked the hell out, they didn’t know what to do and he slammed his jaw on something while freaking out. When I took him to Tinton Falls, they kept him for two nights, sedated him to do an exam and X-rays (2 different times) and told me he needed $3000 surgery and that I would need to feed him through a tube for 3 weeks while it healed. Didn’t even give me any other options. I had to ASK if the jaw would heal on its own....to which they said “it’s possible.” I paid over $1500 to keep him there over night and get X-rays done. I still to this day have never seen the X-rays because they weren’t uploaded to the website like they said they would be. They also didn’t even clean or change his cone, so he was sitting in blood for 2 days. I’m not exactly sure, but I think these two hospitals are affiliated, and if not, they are both money scams. Oh. By the way. My cats jaw healed on its own just fine. No issues or complaications at all, no thanks to either of these hospitals. I’ll never visit either place ever again.

I have an elderly cat who is very sick. They wanted to charge $500 for euthanization. No where else in NJ charges close to that amount(everywhere else is $200 or under). What a joke

DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE!!!!!! instead take the extra time and go to the Red Bank Veterinary Hospital! I took my ferret to the GSVH, where I met Dr. Levine and he simply told me she had neurological damage and basically had no hope and my only option would be to put her to sleep. He even had me convinced at one point until i saw her itch herself. Once I noticed that, I realized I didn’t want to give up hope just yet, so I left. I then rushed her to the RBVH, where I was met with and amazing staff. They treated my ferret, she didn’t have any neurological damage, although she did have some broken ribs. I knew she was holding on for a reason and for the doctors and physicians there to give up hope so quickly is truly disgustung and heart breaking!!!! She’s doing much better now and I am so thankful that I stuck to my gut and left GSVH!!!!
