My wife is a patient with Dr Patrick Garret. Recently she had to get her Florida Handicap permit renewed.Called his office and the girl told us to come in to have him sign the form but needed to make an appointment. Her appointment was for 2 pm, after waiting till after 3pm ,he proceeded to tell her that he would not sign it, explaining that if she had one leg, a stroke or had to be carried out of a wheelchair she would qualify. To add insult to injury he charged Medicare $114.00 he never examined my wife or anything. Went back to the Florida tag office and was told what he told my wife was not true, and she qualified for the permit and to see another Doctor which we did without a fee. Tried to contact him and was told he doesn’t talk to the patients that is what he pays the billing girl to do and that the bill stands. Get yourself another doctor we did!!!

I had been searching for a local internal medicine physician who could treat my complex medical conditions. I went to several physicians who I interviewed and promptly excluded them as being basically incompetent and who did not listen nor spend adequate time listening to the patient. I was getting very discouraged and was going to move my search to larger communities when a nurse suggested Dr. Christine and Dr. Patrick Garrett. Wow! What a breath of fresh air! The doctors work as a team and are the most caring, professional, knowledgeable physicians in Palm Coast for elder care. They listen to your needs and respond in an appropriate manner. If you are ill, they get you in usually the same day. And the office staff know you by name and treat you with respect. I highly recommend both Dr. Garretts for elder care!

The only reason they got a one is because it is the lowest score. My wife went to the hospital and Garrett was our doctor in their file. My wife had a stroke and we went into the ER on Thursday 11/30/17. He did not show up till Friday and said he thought she had pneumonia. On Saturday morning he came back and said she did not have pneumonia and was ready to send her home. In the three days he never examined her. My wife told him the problem. She could not walk and he promised to do a MRI but never ordered anything. I am the husband and finally told the staff I did not want to use him because he is not doing anything. The nurse called him and he told her to tell my wife she is not welcome to come back to their office. The next day all the tests were done and the hospital needed to send her to Ormond Beach hospital because she had a stroke and it was serious. She spent an additional 5 weeks in the hospital. Had she gone home she would be dead today. Thanks for nothing. If you want a funny doctor with some personality or do you want a real concerned doctors who cares for his patients? I want the latter.

My first visit to my new doctor, dr. Patrick Garrett, was a wonderful one! Was just a few days ago, and hes already cleared up an ear problem ive been suffering with for years, that specialists couldnt figure out! Hes so cheerful, thoughtful, and listens to what you say. Makes me feel like family, and is very thorough. I enjoyed my visit and know ive found a great doctor here. Thank you, Dr. GARRETT!

Dr. Patrick Garrett himself is very nice. However the staff is TERRIBLE. I called to ask to speak to the doctor in order to see if it was possible for him to give me a note in regards to my emotional support dog. Lori, whom seems to be their main office associate said I needed to come in to see the doctor. A clear tactic to get copay funds. In desperation I said fine. Made the appointment and went in to see the doctor which took no more then 1 minute literally! He stated that he couldn't write the note but asked that one nurse request a referral for a psychiatric evolution and the other (Lori) for records. After waiting 3 1/2 days I called to see the status, as it was a time sensitive matter. Not only did they send my referral to a doctor that wasn't taking patients at the time and had no intention of calling me but the assistant never put in the request for my documents! I had to call my health provider myself and set an appointment with another psychologist My next action was to request for refund on my copay seeing as how nothing was done for me. Once speaking to the front office assistant she directed me to their "billing person" as she called her. This woman was by far the rudest person I have ever dealt with in a medical office! I explained the situation to her and why I felt it would be appropriate to receive my funds back. She stated that it was out of their control that the referring doctor could not take anymore patients and that the assistant did the best she could in requesting the documents. Forgive me if I am wrong but waiting 4 days to get a call back is not doing your best. Now if any of you have an anxiety disorder you know that a breathing technic is your go to in a stressful situation. The second that I took a deep breath the "billing person" also known by Jennifer, began yelling at me! Told me not to *sigh* at her! that she was simply trying to explain. I said you do not let days go by on someone that is waiting for a psychiatric evaluation because you do not know their state of mind. Or if they are on the edge of a mental break down! She continued to raise her voice and say that they had over 3k patients and everyone had the "same sense of urgency" and that if I was on the verge of a mental break down that I should be in the ER because that's where she would be. When I asked her for a simple answer she responded by screaming the word no into my ear and hanging up the phone! The level of unprofessionalism in this office, doctors aside is outrageous! Do yourselves a favor and continue looking because these are not people who care for your best interest.
