I have been going to Gene Juarez Mount Lake Terrace training school for over a year, and have had excellent service every time. The students and instructors are friendly and attentive to my needs. The instructor that has worked with the majority of the students who have done services to my hair, is named Elena. She is very friendly and I can tell the students respect her and look up to her. I would highly recommend this academy for color, cuts, and styling.

My friend and I brought two special needs friends to get their hair cut and the staff was absolutely wonderful, patient and kind and fun. We will be back! Thank you for caring!

wow, huh, head scratch. I just read Tara's review and I'm thinking, yeah, that sounds like a total scam. Way to go, exploiting and ripping off young women and men who are creative and awesome. I like going to the student academy. Who doesn't like great prices and cool hair cuts and hair dyes? The student hair stylists are trained very well. And a "mentor" stylist always assists with each haircut to make sure you the customer likes the outcome :) Sometimes it seems a little weird at the reception desk, like all these cool kids paying to go to a hair styling academy & are they being asked to run the front desk too? Because they sure don't seem like they want to be there. I asked the woman cutting my hair, what was up with the receptionist duties? Were they required to work for free up front? She said, Yes, isn't that ridiculous? They call it part of the curriculum but an objective person would call it not paying people for performing receptionist duties at a corporate business. Or actually a messed up way to run a business. So buyer beware. Sometimes things are exactly as they feel or look.
