Bought a brand new Grand Design and at time of pickup, set an appointment to have the slide out topper installed because it wasn't in stock, which was fine. A week or so later we hauled the RV back for the appointment that was scheduled to take 2 hours. 4 hours later the service rep instructed that it would only a few more minutes, they were wrapping it up. Before our first trip out, several weeks after the topper appointment, the water pump wasn't working properly. They said to bring it in for drive up service, this issue didn't warrant an appointment... we arrived for drive up service an hour after they opened and waited. For over 3 hours!! The service rep came in said all they had to do was "tighten a filter". We have an hour drive to even get to General, what a waste of time! Recently I had to go back for a

This review isn't about General RV, This is about buying an $80.000.00 Four winds motor home and not being able to sleep on the mattress that came with it. It was so bad my wife woke up at 1:30 am with a major back ache! To add insult to injury she had to stay in an unfamiliar house and sustained a major fall with a concussion and a broken hand and a 4 day stay in the hospital , surgery in a couple of weeks on her hand. So now i'm looking at spending a extra $500.00 to up grade to a mattress that you can sleep on and I have already lost $100.00 on a mattress topper that didn't help. I would think if a person spends that kind of money on a motor Home you would expect to get a mattress that cost over $100.00 and isn't cheap junk! Very disappointed when our first time in our new motor home caused such trauma, literally!

The folks at General know their facts.Very helpful and friendly.Plus as veteran work with wounded warriors and give its a discount .A great place.

We had major damage done to our roof of our fifth wheel. Even though it is 8 hours away from our home, we took it back to GENERAL RV in Wayland, Michigan where we bought it. They were so good at getting it fixed so we could leave in October for the winter. The only hold up was getting the air conditioners which was the company's fault not GENERAL RV. The job they did was excellent, just like brand new. Trevor kept us informed on everything constantly, he is a great guy to work with. It has taken me a couple of months to write this review, due to waiting for a good rain to check for leaks. Well we finally got one here in southern Florida and no problems at all. I would recommend GENERAL RV to anyone looking to buy or needing repairs. I know if we ever need repairs or upgrade to a new fifth wheel that's where we will go.
