The reason I joined this gym was because of the location and the ability to box. I was promised the day I joined that a boxing bag would be placed in the CrossFit area “within two to three weeks.” That did not happen even though I was promised that it would be time and time again. In the meantime, a boxing bag was removed from the main area. That allows one to box using a bag only when fitness classes are not being held. Not to mention, you have to ask someone to assist with putting the bag up to use on the rare instance their is not a class. I asked to speak to a manager about it after speaking with staff that were not helpful. The manager was not present and I was told I would be contacted by the manager. That didn’t happen. Seven months later and still no boxing bag up as promised. It can’t be that complicated to find a small area in this huge gym to hang a boxing bag.

Depending on the location I actually like the gym and the people who work with in the gym (I've only been to the one on cass and 144th). What I don't like is how there payments are set up. I advise anyone who decides to buy a gym membership with them to seriously analyze if you have the funds for this, and make sure you are going to have it at the beginning of every month even if you hit a life crisis because they will continue to pull from your account no matter the effect it has on you and your bank and other penalties. To be honest in Nebraska you are probably better off getting a YMCA membership for the price of what you'll pay here. Especially if you don't go often or use everything they offer to begin with.

I've been going to gyms for 20 years and this is the worst I've seen. The bathrooms are decrepit. The equipment is missing pieces and isn't clean. The prices are high. I had to sign a 24-month contract. I was hassled on the contract break due to a move overseas, and I had to pay a $150 fee plus an additional month. Do yourself a favor and stay away.

The gym is great! The billing is a different story. I paid for a full year in advance, when Genesis bought this location they didn't put in the system that I paid a year ahead. I've been billed 3 times, and I've called no one has done anything. I've gone to other locations and received the same poor service!

When Northpark closed I switched over to Westroads since it is closest to where I now live. I have found the staff to be very friendly and attentive and the facility is very well-equipped. They're re-paving the parking lots too. I couldn't ask for more.
