Don't go to the ER unless you are close to death. Even then you may want to roll the dice and make the drive to any other hospital within 50 miles. You can expect a long wait before they do ANYTHING, and you may heal naturally before they decide to take a break from whatever they are doing and see you. Here is a list of things Georgetown Hospital ER does not consider an emergency: kidney stones, bleeds on the brain, multiple burns, perforated eardrums. Just go to St. Joseph or Central Baptist and save yourself the extra pain and complications

awful experience. Hurt my foot in a wreck. Came in they went to x ray the wrong foot, never even touched my foot. Than said I was good to be discharged but lost my discharge paperwork 😡 Been waiting an hour for them to reprint them so I can leave. Seriously so upset with the services provided. Will drive to Lexington next time.

The PCP's are pretty good but the ER sucks so bad! I tore my ACL....went there to get it checked out. They told me it was a sprain. 3 days later I'm in serious pain and I went to UK and that is when they told me I tore my ACL. I had to have surgery! Then I went back because I was having issues breathing and they told me it was just my blood pressure and stress because that was up. Went to UK the next day for a second opinion and I had a blood clot in my lung! Not too long ago we took my hisband.....don't know why.....but we did.....they were very rude and didn't really do anything. Also, the nurse went to take his IV out and she didn't even pay attention to what she was doing and just yanked it out and bandaged it. We got home and there was blood running down his arm! DO NOT GO TO THE ER! Like I said the PCP office isn't bad but sweet Lord do not go to the ER! DO NOT!

Worst hospital that I have ever took my babies to i wouldnt even give one star if i had the choice. My son is 1 my daughter is 6 months and they have been having trouble breathing they have a sore throat and a awful horsed cough. My fiancee said they didn't even check there throat. I mean really what is wrong with people. You get paid to do your job so why not do it!!!! You don't pay for the test we do so why not run them this really burns me up. Some doctors shouldn't be doctors!!! Rant over

In ICU for several days ...never been so sick and nurse I had was rude and loud. Heard her talking about me to others. Talked about how I just set there starring ...wtf lady ...am jacked up on morphine and just had an operation with over 30 staples in my stomach ...I earned that right to be still and quiet. There was nothing wrong with it. You had no right to judge! Was not attentive an rushed like they all were over worked. My Dr was wonderful. I pray that this nurse is in my shoes one day and will know what it feels like to be so sick you cant hardly move. Shame on her. I hope I never see her again. Also found out that I am diabetic ..was sent home with scripts for insulin and syringes and had no idea how to give myself a shot or what the heck units meant. ER offers you no comfort not even as much as a pillow! Cat Scan tech would not help me up raise up or down. May she too be in my position one day. What about the ones behind me to come ...smh ....maybe you should have a refresher course to further train nurses about the quality of care in a patients time of need.
