About

Georgia Lawyers for the Arts (GLA) provides legal and educational services to artists and arts organizations in Georgia.

Story

GLA provides education and legal services to artists and arts organizations through our resource library, seminars, and our network of volunteer and member attorneys.

Our library of reference materials can answer many questions artists and arts organizations have without needing to speak to an attorney. Anyone may make an appointment to come to the office and read over the materials in our resource library.

We also provide artists and arts organizations with seminars to extend their knowledge of related legal issues as well as providing an opportunity to network with fellow artists and members of the legal community interested in the arts.

Should our seminars and library of materials not fully answer an artist's question, we have a roster of attorneys who are willing to discuss and offer advice to artists and arts organizations on specific legal issues related to their art or arts organization. We provide pro bono legal assistance to artists whose household income meets specific requirements. We also provide paid referrals for clients who do not meet the pro bono requirements.
