Alright place. Definitely more geared towards kids that are in high school band than anything else. I got a horn repadded for a decent price. However, if you play rock or basically anything cool and need anything other than drumsticks etc., you should probably steer clear. Their guitars are trash and basically just there to make it look like a real music store. Also, I don't know if it's just me, but almost every time I'm in there, it's like the staff senses that I play weird music and I immediately get these crazy defensive vibes, like "what are you doing in our nice family-oriented shop?"  I get it, though. I probably should be somewhere else.

I went in to get guitar strings. The guy told me exactly where they were and explained the difference between the two styles of The brand I wanted. It really help me to make a choice.

I drove down from Vermont on Saturday with a trumpet buddy to check this store out.  I had a minor problem I wanted looked at:  third valve trigger slide frequently coming loose.  The young guy (Sam) who waited on me said they didn't have a repair person there at the time.  I was okay with that, as I wanted to look at some horns and mouthpieces anyway.  However, another guy came over and said he'd take a look at the horn.  Long story short, he fixed the problem: put a new screw in where I wanted it - and they wouldln't let me pay them!   It was a joy playing my horn today: an annnoying problem solved!
       Sam gave me a couple of high end horns to try out in the back room ("take as long as you want," he said), after I was up front with him that I wasn't really looking  to buy a new horn that day.  
        Gerry's is what I was hoping for:  a real music store that understand's musicians' needs and has great customer service - not one of those places that sell a lot of electronics and guitars and might carry a few brass and woodwinds as secondary merchandise.
         I'll be back.
