One of my favorites spots for sushi in Pittsburgh. Each time I go the quality has always remained high. REALLY fresh sushi and the drinks have a wide range and are amazing. Definitely recommend giving it a try!
Was able to walk-in and get a bar table a little bit after their opening time. I enjoy the presentation, texture and freshness of ingredients. Sashimi came slightly seasoned, personally I prefer the raw flavor over the sweetish taste of the seasoning. Service was great.
I made the reservation 3 months ago for my birthday dinner. The price is not cheap around $100 per person, but the dining room is nice and the food is amazingly fresh! Not sure if it’s the best Sushi place in town, but definitely worth a visit.
Just an amazing experience. Food was delicate, rich, and fresh. Ben, our server had the right mix of being attentive, yet not hovering. There was a small mix-up with a part of my order, and he knew something was missing and got things fixed quickly before we had to say something. Would definitely return.
Miso soup was different and better than i ever had. Beef plate with mushrooms was amazing. Still mineral water is one of the best in the world and i could tell. Sushi was fresh and superb. Great job six stars. Raspberry dessert made my daughters eyes roll.
Now we’re getting into the premium level restaurants in the Pittsburgh area. First off, this place was booked up for weeks in advance. That’s a good sign. When we finally were able to reserve a table, and ate there for the fist time, we went all out and got the full selection of items on the menu. Here is what we experienced: First tip: We ended up parking a couple of blocks down the road and had to pay $7. But it turns out you can park in the same building as the restaurant for free. When we got inside, the ambiance was just delightful. Cozy, charming, we’ll do rayed with nice dim lighting. There just have been 7 people working behind the bar making drinks and sushi. Once we sat down, we ordered a mix of cocktails, which were all ver tasty! Then we had the miso soup and salad. I have to say the miso soup was my least favorite thing there. It was too salty and too sour. But then the fish and main plates came out. We got the sashimi plate with the addition of the toro, scallops, and uni—I said we went all out. Those additions were well worth it. I’d say the toro was my favorite, but I was also surprised at how tasty the mackerel was that came with the standard sashimi plate. We also got a number of other things, all of which were great, including the beef and mushroom. And then finished it off with having all three of their deserts, which again were all surprisingly good, each in their own way. If have to say that the chocolate and matcha ones were top for me. All in all: a wonderful meal, superb service, great ambiance, and some very nice. I’d certainly recommend this place and I hope to go back again soon.
We waited more than 6 months to get a reservation. I went in with the attitude “ this place better be good or else”. Well… this place was beyond my expectations, every menu item was a perfectly orchestrated combination of flavor, texture and creativity. Simple fresh ingredients. Well worth the wait. The staff made the experience even better.
Delicious food and great ambience. The chocolate torte dessert was amazing. The restaurant is quite small so I would recommend making reservations. I typically do not enjoy gin based drinks but I tried two cat’s pajamas and martini kihon and would recommend both.
The drinks and dessert was great. I love the decor. It's very futuristic and imaginative. The food is very thoughtful as well. The marinated mushroom rolls and edamame tartare were spectacular. I didn't care for the Pad Thai roll.Dine in: YesTakeout: YesDelivery: No
Such an amazing meal! Seriously my best meal of the year. The drinks were marvelous, I really appreciated the gamera. Every bite that we had was delicious, but the eel roll and chocolate dessert were my favorite. Super experience overall, we'll be back soon
