Story

At the end of a long day, nothing hits the spot quite like a hot slice of pizza and a cold beer. Our locally owned and operated restaurant takes this classic comfort combo to the next level with fresh ingredients and high quality craft brews. If you ever do feel like changing it up, though, we also offer hot wings, calzones, and hot and cold subs, all prepared with lots of classic Italian inspiration. And in keeping with the Glass Nickel way, supporting our community, its people, and its culture is the most important part of what we do. We count ourselves lucky that we’ve gotten to share in so many fond memories with the folks of Sun Prairie, and we're looking forward to many more ahead.

Dined in Saturday night. Ordered the beef ravioli with marinara. Garlic bread was almost unrecognizable. Also, when you order something that's always served hot, well, you know, you expect it to be hot. Some of the ravioli was lukewarm, the rest was actually COLD. The sauce was the same and was more than a little watery. With food like that, I don't understand why this place has positive reviews. After leaving, I didn't have anything to eat or drink until I woke up this morning (Sunday). I did have two unpleasant bouts of diarrhea.

Been ordering from here for the past 10+ years, most of which were pretty-good, both food-wise & service. We used to consider GNP to have the best pizza in town. Lately, quality and service have been on the decline. Pizza sauce has been watered-down more times than not. Haven't had a delivery order arrive 100% correct in at least a year (usually toppings are wrong/ones ordered are missing, dressing is missing for a salad, etc.). Couldn't believe the latest order screw-up...we ordered one of their pasta dishes. When the order arrived, we got a container of sauce & toppings, BUT NO PASTA!?! It took over an hour to get a new order (with pasta). Driver arrived with an attitude. They used to have a good group of delivery drivers...friendly, intelligent, and could think on their feet. Now, we consider to be lucky if they can operate our apartment's entry intercom system (which has instructions clearly posted). With all the other pizza options in Sun Prairie, we will be reconsidering ordering GNP.

Not happy with visit. The place was dead on Saturday February 3rd a little after midnight. Hubby talked me into trying this GNP at this location, since I stopped going to the Atwood GNP for reasons of dissatisfaction. One person was working, she was nice, but wanted us to sit at the bar to eat instead of sitting at a table. I believe she was cleaning and closing the dinning area 2 hours early. We asked for a pizza special and she was going to give us a coupon discount on our pizza order on the bill, but it didn't happen. We did sit at a table, but for being dead and only 2 bar customers, it took longer than it should to get our pizza. This pizza was good, but having to smell cigarette smoke from the server as she came in from smoking wasn't cool. Maybe that's why our pizza took long to get to us. Smoke break was more important. Anyways, our server forgot about us after finally getting our food. Not once did she check on us until bill time. She was talking and joking with the bar customers. Oh I should mention, on the TV was an inappropriate movie where there was a long sex scene, cable approved, but still, not good for business. I had issues with inappropriate music being played at the other location, but now all this?. I'm done with GNP and will dine somewhere else.

Fantastic selection of pizzas. Pretty much all of the specialty pizzas are good. The wings and appetizers are fantastic too. Never had the subs but I would assume they are good too. This is my favorite pizza place in the state.

Personally I'm a worker and I think our service is spot on, we've gotten people saying our pizza tastes like new York's voted best pizza, and a few that just say thank you for the amazing food! We enjoy getting to know our regular customers too!
