Great place to do open water swimming. Although it is the San Diego bay, so the water quality isn't the best - trash, boat fuel etc. Awesome place to train for triathlons though as you can also run or cycle down the strand or up into Coronado.

Nice picnic area with tables and a playground for kids. Also an amazing view of the Coronado Bay bridge. Easy access to the Navy Amphibious base, Hotel Del Coronado, and Coronado city proper.

Excellent Bay and Park. Our mothers day was perfect I couldnt ask for more. The landscape was kept beautiful and clean. Bathrooms ans showers are reality available. I actually took a swim in the peninsula and checked up on my yacht.  The water was managable and you can rent canoos onsite. The park offers a playground shade and a landing slip for small vessels. Dont know if liquor is allowed, we didnt have any nor did the other families enjoying that day. Police presence was none. The park wasn't crowded there was plenty of parking. I could go on talking about this place is but Ill let the photos do the talking on that mothers day.

Nice playground for toddlers right on the bayside beach. Calm waters and a nearby open green space with picnic tables and bathroom make this an ideal afternoon outing destination.
