You can never go wrong with a classic Gold's gym. They have everything and more of what you need to achieve success in your fitness goals. The staff at this location is top notch!

Be aware, they will steal your deposit. When you put in notice to cancel which is 30 days, they keep your deposit and extend the contract another month. So, first month deposit was designed to be stolen in first place.

This Gold's is far superior to the one on Ben White. The entire gym seems clean, organized, and well-constructed. The locker rooms are in great shape, and the shower facilities are clean, well-lit, and always functional. There's even a smoothie bar at the check-in desk. All-around, this location is a great place to work out. Only down side would be that it can be busy at times, but there's a good reason for that.

For the surrounding area of multiple Golds gyms, I find this one the best. Many machines available and a large area of free weights. Only issue I have is that the staff will not remove the locks of people who have "camped" their lock on a locker. Locker numbers 1 & 2 have had the same locks on them for 8 months so far.

Gold’s Gym 4404 W William Cannon Dr. Austin, TX 78749 is rundown, dirty and badly in need of maintenance. The cardio equipment is a joke. Several machines are in need of repair. Others will soon be in need of repair. Any broken (or soon to break) equipment must be reported by members. Don’t wait for any of the busily leaning staff to notice, much less report any needed repairs. What are we paying for here? If anyone from GOLD’S GYM CORPORATE reads these reviews, please investigate! This may be a privately-owned franchise, but your name is on this debacle, GOLDS. When you do report an issue, expect it to fall on the non-caring ears of a staff member who has been interrupted from leaning, visiting, or just in general being an oxygen thief. The parking lot is dark and scary, so are some of the smells in the locker room. Clean them! Not just once a night with a janitor, get some of your leaning employees to clean. IF YOU HAVE TIME TO LEAN, YOU HAVE TIME TO CLEAN!!! To sum up: Dirty, broken equipment, useless and often rude staff, and manager. Spend your money elsewhere. Here comes the generic reply from the manager in 3,2,1…
