We started out on great terms with this company but they changed their minds many times. We are landlords and were told they wanted to stay a smaller company. They didn't want more than 100 houses to manage to make sure they could give all of them the attention they need. By the time we dropped them last year, they had about 250 houses. We had hail damage that they failed to report to us until 5 months after the fact. There were a few other things they told us different things on. Paperwork wise, they do fine. Sticking to their word, not so much!

This place is the worst excuse for a business, especially a property "management" company. Unanswered maintenance calls, attempting to collect charges not mentioned in the lease, and the list goes on. In fact, we ended up coordinating directly with the landlord for all issues, due to Goldstar's incompetence. Our landlord ended up terminating their contract with them upon us moving out. Please, do yourself a favor and stay away from this place!

I rented from Gold Star from 2008 until this month. They are by far the best property management company Central Texas! They were always helpful and went to great lengths to make sure things were always running smoothly for us. I've rented from other companies who treated their tenants like a number, but Gold Star treated us like old friends anytime we went into the office. If you're looking for a house to rent, I would definitely recommend going to them before anyone else!

WARNING!!!! This company will disrespect military members and disabled combat vetrans. Do not rent from this company. Several work orders where placed while renting one of their properties they where never answered. They state that they will help you then they ignore you for months. Ex two old blindes where falling apart due to the heat from the sun dicintergrating them. A work order was placed to fix the blinds. Three months later they never replaced them. When It was time to move out the town home looked better then what it was when we moved in because of the professional carpet cleaning company we hired and the cleaning lady that came through the whole townhouse. The place was spotless and looked brand new. Upon move out I was sent a bill which was not itemized and they refused to give me the itemized copy I requested. On this one non itemized sheet it stated that I owed 375 dollar for a door stop, light bulb and touch up paint ( the place already had messed up paint when we moved in and it notated on the move in contract) plus bogus cleaning charges that added up to the amount or the deposit over 700 dollars. which we actually ended up owing money. Warning do not rent with this company you will regret it. By far the worst rental company I have ever worked with. Be WARNED !!
