There's something for everyone: a quiet stroll through the park, a pleasurable bike ride (there are bike rental places at the park) or a quick run. The park is really huge, so you don't end up going in circles. And then of course you have the Japanese Garden and the De Young Museum and and and.... Definitely something not to be missed

The park is huge. So big we only made it to 2 places before the fog came rolling in. It was awesome!!! The museum was amazing. Aquarium, rain forest, etc. it was great. Staff was great at answering questions and gave suggestions. We went to Koret’s playground and had a blast on the cement slides. They leave with card board pieces to help you slide down and it helps when you use sand along with the card board. Very steep coming down and the steps are tiny (parents) so beware.

Just an amazing place to explore and explore again. There is no shortage of things to do from museums to separate parks and man-made lakes. Most trails are paved which makes for easy walking. There are also a variety of activities to part-take on the weekends including swing dancing or roller skating! The park is also closed to car traffic on weekends to give people and families a chance to just relax from the hubbub of the city.

There's so much to do here you can't do it all in one day. If you want to visit then the De young art museum, California academy of science, Japanese tea garden, Conservatory of Flowers and the Botanical Gardens are located very close together. Other things to see are the Bison Paddock, Dutch Windmills, Stow Lake & Strawberry Hill as well as the various other lakes within the park. One of the best ways to see the most is to rent a bike.

Love this park. Got the tea garden, lake, academy of science, art museum, etc. Always a bunch of people enjoying the nature and company of others. Pop up a chair and kick back to relax. Great proximity to plenty of shops/restaurants in the sunset district of SF.
