I'm appalled that this doctor wanted me to take harmful, addictive opiates and laughed at me for suggesting that medical cannabis would work better. Little did he know I had already kicked 200mg a day of oxycontin that my VA doctor had me on, and I did it with CANNABIS ALONE. This man is bought and paid for by big Pharma.

Dr. Gonzalez was on call at Englewood Community Hospital on Sunday when I arrived there with a badly broken arm. He did an amazing job getting me into and through a complex surgery. I was released the next day and had a fine, professional and encouraging followup visit at his office five days later.

Doesn't support medical marijuana and that's concerning. It's outdated thinking.

My wife fell and broke her hip in early 2014. She was taken to the Venice Hospital by ambulance which was the first mistake. A very unorganized and dirty hospital. I have been there myself. We were told Gonzalez could do the surgery but it would be a little while. 24 hours later the surgery was performed. We did not know Dr. Gonzalez but one of the male nurses said he would let Dr. Gonzalez operate on him so we said okay. Again, 24 hours she laid there. My wife was given a partial surgery which we came to find out that a full replacement would have been the correct procedure for her age. It is approximately 10 months since the surgery and she is still on a cane, has pain and limps because she is 1/4" short. He also got my wife to sign a paper agreeing that she would not sue him. I think he did that because he knew he did not do a good job. We are now preparing to have a revision by another surgeon for the other half of the surgery to make it a full replacement and get her to the correct length. It has been a rough year for my wife and now she will have a few more bad months because she has to get this corrected. Andy Barger
