One of the newest state parks, and is being developed heavily with a visitor center. Keep an eye out for the signs showing the change in how to access the park. On the banks of the Big Sioux River. In the winter there are groomed cross country skiing trails.

The native grasses and wildflowers on the banks of the BIg Sioux River make for some beautiful scenery. The trails are one of my favorite places near Sioux Falls for a trail run.

A beautiful way to spend an afternoon! Very unusual terrain that appears to be home to all things mystical. I was blessed to be 30 feet from a gorgeous whitetail doe, who kept an alternating rhythm with her eyelids! Winking?

Lovely walking paths. Building for some overlooks is happening. In in the fall it will be spectacular.

This looks to be an up and coming state park and will be excellent once the visitor center is done! Trails are new and it's gorgeous out there! Watch out on 270th street though, there are some MAJOR potholes (these are outside the state park so they are not able to fix them).
