So we called this place en route to be sure that they had room, phone just kept ringing, so thinking it was during lunch, hung up and we were going to call back. Lisa returned out phone call promptly, good sign. Asked if they had room for us, and that we would be arriving after hours, she said yes, just pick a site and come up to the office in the morning. Arrived after dark, 6:30 p.m., no maps available of the park. So we started driving around, found several open sites, all marked with a cone except one, so we parked. Got all set up, with one exception, no electricity. So we waited until morning, called the office only to be told that we were on a monthly rental site. How were we to know? when all we were told on the phone was to find an open site. We used the phone app, no legend on the map, so how did we know what the colors, or site numbers meant? So she tells us we can move into a nightly rental, but after being completely set up, if we were going to tear down camp, we were moving totally to another campground. Would NOT recommend this place and will definitely NOT be back. They need to change a few things in the office, like provide maps outside for late arrivals, and update those maps to include a legend. And teach the office staff to know the difference between monthly and nightly rentals and tell their customers. How is one to know when they are new to the area? Oh, and don't miss the sign that is about 100 feet off of the road, because you have to go across the reservoir, about 4 miles out of your way to find a place to turn around, especially if you are hauling a big rig like we were. Propane refill is available, next door to the campground, a little pricey, but convenient.
