Green oasis in the concrete jungle. LA needs lot more of these to make it green. I see people playing socket in the afternoons, evenings and weekends. Nice to people hanging out in the park. Food trucks come here regularly to attract more crowds. That said, If this has to be the Central park of downtown LA, it needs more space and better facilities. One problem is, they are trying to make it everything for everybody. Is it a park or a play ground or events place? Why not add the empty lot next to it? (It has more space vertically - runs up the stairs across Broadway, hill, hop streets, but larger space across will help too). This park needs more tree linings to create better shaded areas for people to during hot summer. And it needs better facilities. Why not allow small food vendors to sell there, so people traffic is always there? A nice coffee shop or restaurant in the empty lot next to it may be useful. May be even a LA souvenir shop??

A very nice place to visit in the middle of downtown. There is a very convenient metro station in the middle of the park, which makes it very easy to get there. A nice place to enjoy a cup of coffee and enjoy the fountain. There are small containers with books inside which you could take and read. And then it is encouraged that you give a book back to it. This shows the community of the place and how much downtown has changed. I would recommend that if you are in downtown to visit this park.

It is a really nice park to walk around if you are in Downtown LA. I usually come here to eat my lunch. You can find plenty of spots to sit down and relax. There are even events that go on during the week here. For a park in Downtown LA, it is not too bad.

One of my favorite places in LA! An oasis of nature (and trees from all corners of the world!) in the middle of downtown Los Angeles, often offering free community events, from live music shows to yoga, arts, food, and everything in between. It is also near many key cultural centers, such as the Music Center and The Broad Museum. The downside would be that the only constant (non food truck) food location I can think of that is located in the park is a Starbucks, and depending on the day, that can get very crowded.

Grand Park is a nice place to hang out but the real problem arises in the younger community playing in the area. We brought our nephew here a few weeks ago, perhaps 5 times within two weeks, and he contracted ringworm. Grand Park needs to do I better job of keeping its cleanliness. I brought my nephew here so that he can have fun and play, and now he is sick and under medication for the next four to five weeks. I am very disappointed in the cleanliness administration of this park and something needs to be done about it. The ringworm could not have been contracted elsewhere and is found in the water fountain area where the kids play. Families please keep this in mind.
