Story

Lincoln Park in Los Angeles, California, was originally created by the City of Los Angeles in 1881 from land donated by John Strother Griffin. It was one of Los Angeles's first parks. On May 19, 1917, the park was renamed Lincoln Park after Lincoln High School. The park contains a large lake (Lincoln Park Lake, originally East Lake), a recreation center, a senior center, a playground, picnic tables, and ball fields. The park is located at the intersection of Valley Boulevard and Mission Road and is served by Metro lines 76, 78, 79, and 378.There was an earlier Lincoln Park in Los Angeles County, "just outside the city limits of Los Angeles and just inside the limits of South Pasadena."

Something for everyone. Lake with fish. Ducks. 2 playgrounds. Skate park. Running trail. Plenty of grass. Parking lot. Would get 5 stars if bathrooms were cleaner.

Beautiful park with a very interesting history. The pond is quite tranquil with many forms of wildlife present. There are basketball courts and baseball fields, a skatepark, workout equipment, a pool (under construction), and a cultural center/event space. There are several paved paths throughout the park making very accommodating and accessible for handicap access. Several picnic tables both shaded and in full sun. There are several trees in the park that are well over 100 years old which is increasingly rare in Los Angeles. There are also several statues and monuments which help to tell the story of the parks history. Great place to walk, and dogs love it too!!!

This is such a great band I recommend it to anyone going through a rough time in their life. It really helped me through my worst years, and I've come out a better person thanks to their music. I'm only sad that their front man Chester recently took his life. Ironic, he was able to save his fans from death, but not himself.

The lagoon is home to swans & many geese. There are great facilities for performing arts, art exhibits both in/outdoors. Plenty of open space in this rather large park. The park houses child development & nature education buildings colorfully painted.
