Absolutely love supporting small businesses and I totally understand rising costs. There has to be a medium between portions and price. It’s a balance that satisfies both ends. Ordered the Shaking beef; flavor was good, slightly sweet and peppery flavor. Quickly cooked on high heat to give a nice golden crust yet tender on the inside. My concern is the portion. It had to been less than 4oz of beef. It was a lot of rice with very little beef. For $16, I was hoping I’d get a good filling portion. Wish you guys the best of luck!
My coworker and I were definitely not expecting this place to be this good. Both of us are very familiar with what we ordered from other restaurants and this food is very very well done. Great flavors and cooked perfectly. Seasoning is excellent throughout. Portions are more than we expected and service was excellent.
Great family dining. Really lived how authentic the food was. Patio had an amazing atmosphere and the wait staff was very attentive and friendly. Really cannot go wrong with Grandpa Tao Kitchen.
Yummy!! We had a couple bowls of pho seafood and steak and they were the best pho's we have had in east county and possibly San Diego! Service was excellent too. We will definitely be coming back to try the rest of their varied menu.Food: 5/5
Second time here and the BBQ Chicken and Eggrolls Vermicelli was perfect. The last time I was here I ordered the Chicken Curry and both were good. I highly recommend coming if you are looking for really good asian fusion style food where there is a decent range of options. They play some nice jazz music, there is outdoor seating if you prefer and service is quick and overall it has a nice classy vibe without the price tag.
This place is absolutely amazing!! Service and food was perfect!! Will definitely keep coming here!! We had the Shaking beef, California roll, and shrimp tempura!! So yummy!
The food here was absolutely exceptional. The spring rolls with homemade extremely fresh. The Chef special that was only $13 with filet mignon. Some of the best I've ever had. Fried rice was excellent. I have now found my new favorite Asian restaurant.
So far, we’ve only ordered the Pork Banh Mi. Twice. And love it. I think it’s the best banh mi I’ve had as far as ingredients go. Everything is super fresh. The pickled daikon, carrots and cucumbers are so good. I could eat a side of those veggies just by themselves. There’s plenty of tasty meat as well. Plus the peppers and a bit of onions and cilantro. Just add the sriracha and there you have it. So good. It’s crunchy, chewy and messy. Found this place through DoorDash lookin for banh mi. It is a great find and the price is right! Even for delivery. Look forward to trying more from this place in due time. Ok, we tried the F4 Special Combo fried rice and I added extra egg to it. It was pretty good. Though it could have used more seasoning for flavor. The proteins were cooked well. Nice n tender. I would order again and notate in the order to see if they could add more seasoning to it. Or I’d just do it at home. Also tried the N5 Veggies & Tofu noodles. This had plenty of flavor in the sauce. Nice combo of veggies. Had some crunch with that celery. Didn’t taste stale. I liked that. And I liked the fried tofu. There was lots of it and each piece had nice almost crispy edges and plenty of absorbed flavor from the sauce. I would reorder that one for sure. Just a note: my pics of both of these dishes was after my hub already got his half from the containers. So it’s only showing half of the filled order. I would add that I think the Veggie Noodle dish could use more noodles. Can’t go wrong with that. I love noodles!
Starting from most important to least: Tuna roll 9/10 Shrimp roll 9/10 Rice pork 8/10 Friendliness and service 10/10 Cleanliness 9/10 Am happy I tried this place. Will be back for sure.
Absolutely delicious Vietnamese restaraunt with other options like sushi, miso soup and thai/ milk teas. We love authentic dishes like lemongrass beef, bahn mi bbq beef is the best and the shaking beef with filet mignon was insane. Everything is fresh, and the pickled veggies are a plus. The pho is delicious as well, this is our new favorite spot lately for dining in or take out! Also very affordable for the quality. Vegetarian options: Veggie spring rolls, veggie pho, etc!
