There is a water area at the start of the park where kids can play in. Follow the memorial path by following the man-made reflecting stream that guides your journey.

Great naval memorial with nice parks with awesome local artist's work. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a quiet little park to enjoy an afternoon, or rent the Pavillion for a party. There is also a dog park for your companions to enjoy.

Beautiful little spot. They have a fountain and play grounds for the kids. There are events out here on a regular basis. Some of the best sun rises in the lowcountry. If it's mosquito season, be sure to wear bug repellent.

A nice memorial that is very informative. It is on the edge of the North Charleston Riverfront Park and designed creatively. You get a feeling for the real people that served there. What was as interesting as the actual memorial was the residential area for officers. The housing there was started in 1909. The Admiral's resident and the Commandant's quarters which also housed the administration building were both mansions. They are started to refurbish all these older homes. The one that looks complete looks fabulous from the outside. It looks like it will be used for events. I rode my bicycle all around the area several times. It was a great place to ride. If you walk then it would be a pleasant walk. The trees are huge and it is almost totally in shade.
