I have spent the last two months attempting to get an updated homeowner's policy for my non-occupied property in FL. I have provided all requested documentation (some information the agent could have obtained herself, i.e. mortgage clause) and have email the assigned agent several times trying to obtain status updates. After finally calling, I was told "we sent the policy last month and it wasn't paid so there's no coverage." WHERE WAS THE COMMUNICATION TO THE CUSTOMER??? Which I obviously still have the original coverage which was renewed. I ask how to rectify and the agent refers me to the mortgage company. I ask for a policy number or reference number which she advises there is none, we sent the information to them. So I never received any final quote, not a letter or email to confirm coverage and nothing to reference. I contact the mortgage company which them proceeds to tell ask me for the said policy number and advises that they cannot assist me without a policy number to reference. They then proceed to ask me to have the agent contact them directly (which of course Glenda will not do since I didn't even receive an email update or phone call). This is absolutely ridiculous, shows poor customer service and incompetence!
