DISAPPOINTMENT. Greyhound quickly reminded me of why it has been more than a decade since I have traveled with this company. I was pleasantly surprised by the buses; they are pretty clean with comfortable seats and lots of leg room. And having the power sockets at every seat and wifi for you to be on the internet, is pretty great. HOWEVER, Greyhound did not allow me to choose my schedule, which had me on the bus all day long, with 6 hour waits in Oakland. On top of that, the schedule had me going thru Oakland to San Francisco, and back to Oakland. Absolutely ridiculously dumb schedule. And when I was in Oakland and found a bus that was going earlier to Sacramento, they CHARGED ME $20 to change my schedule. But it didn't stop there. For some reason, I HAD TO BUY A WHOLE NEW TICKET to take an earlier bus to Sac. Thank God it was $21.50. I can't imagine what it would have cost if it was a longer route. So Greyhound took a schedule change and somehow turns it into me having to buy a new ticket. I still don't understand why that happened. So I get to Sacramento and try to talk to customer service. The first person I tried to speak to was ...well, let's just say he's probably at the peak of his career and I can easily understand why he won't get much further in life. Overall, the buses are nice and I think the bus drivers too, but the ticket people and the policies of Greyhound are there to hurt the little guy. I am so disappointed with how this company works. So unprofessional and designed, in my opinion, to get more money out of you. What a shame!!!
