I recently took a trip to Pensacola and I used the greyhound buses. I went from Tampa to Tallahassee, then from Tallahassee to Pensacola. I'll start with the ride to Pensacola: The Tampa station was nice. There wasn't much people there. I went inside and the lady at the front desk was nice and she did her job, quick and easy. The bus driver who drove the bus was informative and nice. He made sure that everything was on time. Now when I got to Tallahassee greyhound station it was a whole different story. The bus driver told us that if the people in yellow shirts aren't here we would have to take our own luggage and board them again but lucky for us they were there. I sort of got confused about that part, especially since he said people can stand by the wall and get their luggage. He was nice about it. Now I was still a bit confused, so I went up to another woman who worked there and she was just rude. I could tell the woman had an attitude so I thanked her and walked off. Now the Tallahassee station was a bit packed. I went to get food and came to sit down, luckily I found a seat, and then it went from slightly packed to packed. The Tallahassee station is so small. So small. It seems to be a main stop for a lot of people so I am not sure why they would not expand more on it. There were people standing up all over the place with their luggage. I also noticed that there was homeless people in their as well asking for money, which I found a bit awkward. The station is not how they make it seem online. How it's all professional, cleaned, excellent customer service it isn't at all. Luckily, for me a nice older woman who didn't worked there helped me get on the right bus because I did not know where I was going, as it was my first time. The man who took the ticket was also a bit rude as well. After I boarded the bus I went straight to my destination. Now the ride back to Tampa was uncomfortable as well. In the Pensacola station, the woman at the front desk was just rude. Her attitude was ridiculous and does not make you feel welcomed. I left Pensacola around 1:45am. I got on the bus and it was packed already, which wasn't a problem. I managed to land a seat all the way in the back sitting next to a young man. I woke him up and he moved his things. The next question he asked me was, "Did you come alone?" Nothing else scared me more than this right here. He had a small group of friends with him as well. I couldn't sleep or rest for half an hour until I switched seats and sat somewhere else. I understand that I was riding a bus with a bunch of people I did not know, but I felt very unsafe. Honestly I will not be riding this again unless they happen to change a lot of aspects of it. I think it is a really nice way for people to travel, but the customer service is really bad and the stations are not how they make it out to seem.

Not only was the bus to Orlando late but there was no estimated time given at all. All the employee at the ticket and information desk kept saying is the bus is broken down in St. Petersburg and the mechanics are working on it. Where is the back up for situations like this? And why would an employee be telling customers "if this was New York this would never happen, New York makes all the money"? The announcement was made with very little empathy "it is what is is" and no updates unless you walk up to the desk only to be told "same situation still broken down in St. Pete". 2hrs late and still waiting

I don't know if it was a bad day for there company but had to 4 hours just to get out of one town. Another hour at my next stop so all in all was late by 5 hours. Absolutely the worst.

Where do I begin? This place needs to be torn down and a new bus station needs to be built! No A/C (this is Florida!!!) in the waiting area! If Tampa likes the retro look, I understand, but this place has to go! Customer service: Epic FAIL!!! Only one employee that works here was actually doing a good job but the others? Just there, pretty much! To top it all off, they didn't put my wife's checked bag on the bus! I didn't get anything but excuses! Now my wife has to spend her whole visit 800 miles away without her stuff!!! Never again....

Pretty shady outside. If possible make your bus trip for daytime. The service is very friendly and helpful. A decent quick restaurant inside.
