My wife and I went in to this gem looking for a place to be a regular at as we just moved to Palatine. Search over! The food was amazing. 
The attentive service was so good that we never had to wait long for anything. 
Fun and casual environment with gourmet quality dishes. We've been back 3 times and have not had one bad dish yet.

This is our go to brunch place on the weekend. The food is great with very generous portions. All of the staff are so friendly. Ask to be seated with Maria if possible! She has taken the time to get to know our kids and even if we do not end up seated in her section, she takes the time to come say hello to her "buddies". I would recommend Grove to anyone in the Palatine area!

We came to the Grove on Sunday, Father's Day. Our reservation was at 9 a.m. and we came at 9 a.m. Our drink order was not taken until 9:10 a.m. Then at 9:15 our breakfast order was taken. There were eight of us in our party. The restaurant was about half crowded. Two of the meals came at 10:05 a.m., 50 minutes after we placed the order. The other six meals did not come out yet. I ended up talking to the assistant restaurant manager about our order. Finally, 7 of the 8 meals came at 10:20 a.m.,  Over one hour after we placed our order. They said that the 8th meal was cooked wrong, so they were remaking it. At about 10:30 the last meal came out, and it was made incorrectly again. My father-in-law was very specific that he did not want cheese in his meal. The food came out with cheese, so it went back to be remade again. At about 10:40 a.m. another omelette came out and it had cheese yet again. At this point my father-in-law was so irritated that he said he didn't want to eat anything. Also, the waffles and the pancakes tasted extremely sour, so either they added too much baking soda or some other ingredient was missed. Just terrible. It ruined our father's day, and I felt especially bad for my father-in-law who didn't even get to eat breakfast. Oh, and my omelette came out with the absolute wrong ingredients in it, but I was not about to ask for it to be remade since I was starving at this point. Unfortunately, we will not be returning to this restaurant. Even after we asked for our Meals by 10:15 a.m., no one once came up to refill any of the coffees, offer us extra syrup, or any other condiments. The most unpleasant restaurant experience we have ever had. All 8 of us would agree with this. And my family goes out about 3 to 4 times a week.

Always a great experience! Excellent food. Clean and friendly atmosphere. I go often for lunch with my 1.5 year old son are we are always treated very well. :)
