We have our bank accounts with Grow Financial and we normally bank at MacDill AFB (closed Saturday). We went to the Gandy Grow Financial location on Saturday to get something notarized. The credit union  manager told us that Grow Policy is not to notarize anything doing with property or trust documentation.  We needed her to notarize that my wife and I, both Grow members, did in fact sign a document in front to her; pretty simple stuff.  We explained that the document was for our family trust and on a letterhead from a prominent trust attorney in Tampa. The credit union  manager respectfully declined and we were both left speechless. Now, my wife now wants to close our accounts. We recently relocated from Washington DC where we used Pentagon Federal Credit Union (PFCU) for over 45 years, another credit union, with no problem or resistance to having anything notarized as a courteously. After being told by the Grow credit union manager she would not provide notary services to us we departed and paid to have our document notarized later that day for something that use to be a service of a credit union.  Extremely disappointed with this Grow Policy and unpleased as a client.  We often see Grow Representatives at the South Tampa Chamber of Commerce monthly functions and we have come to know them as really fine people. I now have a hard time recommending friends, relatives, and acquaints to Grow. If my wife has her way we will not bank there any longer.  If anything, I would recommend that you do not use the Gandy Grow location in that the bedside manner of management leaves something to be desired.  The counter folks are great.  Needless to say, if I spend this amount of time on this review, I was displeased with the answer I received and customer service was not present when I need that service.  I would like for someone from Grow to tell me why they will not notarize signatures for their banking customers causing them to pay a notary at another location.  Is this in fact a Grow Financial Policy?

Went into the branch this morning to open a new account with my brother. Checked in and asked to be seated. No one else in the waiting area.

Sat directly in view of the 2 people in their offices with no one in their spaces. No customers at the service line. Employee walked out of her office, looked at us, returned to her office and picked up the phone. Upon leaving all desk employees on the phone and no one attempted to stop us... reminder- no other customers in the store. Must have been that I was in shorts and a t shirt in FL and didn't fit the profile of a regular customer. Very disappointed. How do you let a customer that walks into your store, says, "I'd like to open an account" just walk out when there are no other customers in the building...about 10:40am on Friday 2/17/17 check the cameras.

What do you have to do to speak to someone on the phone?  After pushing any number to FiNALLY be offered human assistance I was placed on long silent hold, then phone hangs up.  Three strikes.  Terrible service.

Screw this place took a 70-point hit on my credit score because they couldn't pick up a phone. Would be zero if possible.
