I closed my account over a year ago and have recently been notified that I am in collections. Went to investigate and they reopened my account with out permission. No contact nothing just charged it for over a 6 month period. Horrible customer service, banker got an attitude and refused to release papers on my own account. 1 star is truly generous

Can not trust GTE!! The company as a whole lacks morals. They hold checks when it's convenient for them and then let other checks through with absolutely no hold on other occasions. The only bank or credit union that I have ever been with that had their hands in my account more than I do. They send no notifications/ or emails and constantly shuffle around MY money through out my accounts. They have over drafted me on more than one occasion (I haven't had one legitimate over draft by my own hand) and then charged me fees and told me, sorry, that's our policy. I will never recommend, unless you like the bank taking what they want when they want from your paychecks. Can not wait until my loan is completely paid so I never have to deal with this money hungry company again! Save your money, go somewhere else!!!

I was treated with the utmost respect while looking for a loan for a car. They got me a better than expected interest rate.

I have been banking with them for over 20 years. It started out fine but recently i have noticed a HUGE downhill spiral. Particularly in their customer service and fees. I feel like now i am being charged for everything. I called today to ask about an NSF fee on my account. An account that showed had money in to cover the transaction. The customer service representative (Margret) that i talked to continued to talk fast and talk over me throwing numbers at me and not listening. She talked down to me like i was a child and told me that i needed to "keep track of my money". He manager (Anthony) was scoffing at me when he got on the phone. They were both completely disrespectful.Im leaving and taking my money and my business somewhere else. This is ridiculous.

Zero stars! Worst banking institution ever. Their entire concept is neither convenient nor efficient. DO NOT TRUST THIS BANK. They're incompetent and their 'way of banking' is suspect. They have apparently screwed so many people over. I wish I'd researched their reputation before ever dealing with them. I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE EVER.
