I called four places and left messages on voicemail for each of them. I called these guys and a REAL person answered, politely took my information and had someone call me to schedule within one hour. The guy came out was very polite and he worked to remove the tank covers and clear the  clogged pipe 
anyway, problem was quickly resolved 
the guy was very helpful and worked hard out there in that heat
the other companies eventually called me back in the evening, to be fair, but i was very happy it was already done

This company stands behind their work. We bought a new house back in June. The sellers supposedly cleared the drains in the bathroom. Well they didn't do a good job, so we called Guarenteed Rooter Service. They gave us a 90 day warranty on the work. Eventually the drain started to get a bit slow. And I called them to report the issue and they came in just a few hours to have another go at it. Very friendly, cleaned up the tub afterwards. I'd say give them a try if you need your drains cleared. I recommend them. Prompt, professional, clean, and attentive to the needs of the customer.

We had a blocked kitchen sink line which they eventually tried to unblock from the basement sink. They broke through one of our pipes, releasing black sludge into the basement. They fashioned a temporary fix for the pipe, and replaced the U-joint beneath the basement sink, which they also managed to break.

I paid $250.

The next day I noticed a smell coming from the basement and discovered a thick layer of sludge beneath a basement fridge and our washer/dryer. They hadn't cleaned up. Their reply? "We're a rooter service, not a cleanup crew"

Even if THEY made the mess?

Then a month later I go to fetch our wet/dry vac to do some work and discover to my horror that it is half full of black sludge. They had used our wet/dry vac--without ASKING us--threw out the filter, which they clogged up, then didn't even bother to tell us that they had used it before they left, leaving it to sit with this disgusting filth inside it for a month.

I called today to complain again and demand half of the fee back for their poor work ethic and dishonesty. The rep's first response was to accuse me of trying to "exploit" the situation.

Avoid these clowns.
