Ha Long Bay was recommended to my wife and I by a friend. We have been consistently impressed. Going to a restaurant usually means picking from one of the three or four items on the menu that are actually good.

This has been the only restaurant where everything we've gotten has been good, without fail.

I recommend specifically the spicy chicken wings and any dish with the large pan-fried noodles. And anything else on the menu you care to order. At this point I'm convinced I could choose at random and not be disappointed.

Just go here and get any food! Everything they have is great and they're always friendly. The prices can be a little high if you get take out but if you order in it feels like they give you so much more food and it's great!

Edit:  This is probably one of my favorite restaurants in Madison.  What's funny is one of my friends has been working here for a very long time now because he loves it just as much as I do.  It sucks that someone drove their vehicle through the front of the restaurant because they had a seizure and probably shouldn't have been driving but even though I can't go here for a while until they fix the building I still love this place.  The staff is always friendly and they give you a ton of a food (if you dine in, they give as much as they can when you take out because unfortunately their boxes are only so big).  It can be a little expensive if you're doing take out and not dine in but even going in to grab food by myself it's amazing.

My daughter took me here for dinner when I was in town. We both loved it even though we waited for a while the place was packed. The wait was well worth it.
The food was fantastic with a very large menu to choose from. 
I heard there was an car accident and the building was hit.
I hope no one was injured and that they reopen very soon, because I'm coming back to town soon and want to eat there again.

Consistently great food. Love the huge variety of dishes that will accommodate the pickiest eater to the more adventurous. Always get the pork egg rolls. Would also recommend the Curry Stir Fry, the Pad Thai, the stir fry with peanut sauce, and any of the traditional curry dishes. Be prepared to wait for a table, especially on weekend nights. But it's worth the wait! And it's always more fun to share with the group your with so you can try more dishes. And the cost per dish is cheap for how much food you get!

My spouse and I arrived on a busy night and we were both asked to wait for a table. We were told from staff that there would be a 20 minute wait for a table.

Once we were seated my spouse and I both ordered a drink and the waitstaff happily brought us a pair of beers. We ordered spring rolls as an appetizer and were given a pair of delicious rolls wrapped perfectly and they came with a dipping sauce with peanut pieces in it.

I ordered a deep fried rice noodle and steak, pork and chicken meat combo all in one and my husband ordered a seafood stir fry. The stir  fry came paired with a bowl of white rice. 

We had a really good dinner experience and the environment was quiet enough to hold a conversation with my spouse the entire dinner. The staff was very attentive and seemed genuinely happy to serve us. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others and visit here myself again.
