I went to Halcyon yesterday and they offered to do a once over on my super rusty bike. They told me upfront what everything would cost and asked before they started any work. The selection of stuff in store is really great, too; lots of quality bike bags and handle grips, tapes, etc. It's a smaller selection but it's all good quality. A wonderful shop.

They have a nice selection of bikes and bike supplies, but they are very expensive. I brought a wheel in with a busted spoke, and they insisted I needed a new set of wheels. I knew that I didn't, so I paid them to replace the spoke. My local bike shop in Boulder would have charged ~$10. They charged me ~$40, so i paid about 4x more than I should have. (FYI, the spoke replacement is still  holding strong a year later.) Also, they don't recycle bike tubes. I know that Nashville isn't a recycling oriented city, but I would really appreciate a bike shop taking some initiative on this front. They are conveniently located for me, but I will repair my bike myself in the future. If I need some serious work performed, I'll likely go out of my way to save some money.

TERRIBLE customer service. Staff seemed annoyed that I was even there in the first place and couldn’t be bothered to come and see what I needed. There are a million bike shops in this town. Go somewhere else.

Hands down the best shop in Nashville. There's zero attitude whether you're riding hi-end or a beater. The techs know what their doing, and if they can save you on parts or service, they will.

BEWARE!!! Best customer service EVER, very knowledgeable people, especially Patrick. The whole staff, including the owner, is awesome: respectable and kind. I was their 500th customer that day and a whole bunch of balloons fell from the ceiling to welcome me. They gave me champagne while I waited and even refunded everything I bought from them the week before. They even all waved me goodbye with sparklers in their hands as I rode my new bike off into the glowing sunset. Absolutely go here... YOU WONT REGRET IT!!!

But seriously, this place is great and the people know their stuff. I trust them completely.
