It feels like a rough old 80s bar inside but has good service and delicious seafood. As I waited for friends, many people knew the hostess and where they wanted to sit. It clearly a favorite of regulars. I went here for a family gathering with a half dozen adults and a small child. The service was prompt. My water never went dry and I didn't sit around wondering if the server was lost. Everyone enjoyed their food. I had grilled prawns, green beans, coleslaw and black eyed peas. The 6 prawns were huge. The slaw was complex and delicious. The black eyed peas were in a puree of tomatoes that was very southern and delicious. The green beans were ok. I'd be glad to go back, if I'm in the area.

It's a really cool local seafood shack! They have a ton of scofflaw on tap, along with other local brews. The food is super fresh, and they give you a lot for what you pay for. They deserve my 5 star rating because the southern hospitality and friendly staff. So happy to have a place of this caliber near my apartment.

Waitress (Christina) had a great personality, great service but the food was over cooked (crab & lobster). I can say the manger did come over and asked if we want another plate but we didn't want to waste the food we had. Would definitely go back with fam and friends!

Great seafood! Try their raw oysters, they are very fresh and delicious. And for desert they have a neat s'more treat. They bring out an actual little fire with marshmallows, gram crackers, and Hershey chocolate. Fun way to end the night.

Ate at Hammocks for the first time last night. All the things we tried were good. The seafood was very fresh. The shrimp and grits was quite tasty. The shrimp were tender and the grits were creamy. The drinks were also really good. The waitstaff was nice and checked on us repeatedly. Will definitely visit them again and recommend them if you want a nice seafood meal with a pleasant atmosphere!
