Story

At Under The Cork Tree, Jason Sheetz and Chef William Sigley of Hammocks Trading Company present guests with a taste of the Mediterranean. The menu features the exotic and bold flavors of the Mediterranean prepared with only the freshest of ingredients in our open kitchen. Guests can choose to dine in our beautifully appointed dining room, on the patio or in our comfortable lounge and bar. While enjoying traditional Mediterranean tagines, our wood fired oven flatbreads or in-house prepared pastas guests get to fully appreciate the culinary and cultural richness of the region.

I can't believe that this gem of a restaurant went unnoticed by me for so long.. the staff and chefs here are truly top notch, from the friendly face of the hostess walking in and great attention from the servers this place is a MUST visit. A special thank you for Chef Caleb.. his love for his craft shows in the taste of his delicious pizzas and pastas.. Thank you staff of Under the Cork Tree, you've made gained a client for life!

Great selection of red and white wine. Parking is free in the deck. We ordered the Tunisuan Chicken Skewers. The server mistakenly punched in 2 orders and made us pay for both even though we didn't eat the other plate. My date didn't want to make a big deal so he paid for both anyway. Service was a bit slow but she was extremely nice.

The food was pretty good although not life changing and a bit pricey. What stands out above the food was the incredible service. The  (¿waiter/server/connoisseur?) was excellent. Very knowledgeable about the menu and was able to provide descriptions of each item I asked about. It made my entire experience better. I would definitely go back. Great atmosphere; tastefully decorated. Nice wine list, very limited beer list. The food was a co-star in this production, and it was elevated by the all-star service. I've only been once and I'm sure the falliable humans will have an off day at some point, but this was an excellent first impression.

I was a customer at Under The Cork Tree yesterday with a meetup group and it was the worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant.

1.  The food was mediocre at best.  It was very pricey and not that good.  

2.  The service was horrible. The guy kept getting our orders wrong and the worst part is that when I paid for my food, they lost my credit card!!!  Obviously I'm pissed off.  As of today the restaurant still never found my credit card so I'm stuck waiting 2 weeks to receive a new card from a different state.  Lastly, this same server tried giving another person from our party his change, but that person actually paid for his meal with a credit card!!  This guy needs to be fired.  

So, basically long story short, I will never recommend this restaurant to anyone nor will I ever go back.

I really enjoyed this restaurant, it definitely has a European Spanish/Italian menu. The wine selection is awesome, with a lot of European wines on the menu. The mussels were delicious and enjoyed that they were the larger versions like in Europe.  The mushroom pizza was delicious. Can't wait to go back and try other dishes on the menu. Oh the octopus appetizer was one the best I've tasted in Atlanta.
