We are also a full service bicycle retail and repair shop, and we provide indoor bike parking

Story

Baltimore's first "Bicycle-Cafe" is a full service restaurant & bicycle retail / repair shop owned and operated by X-Games Champion - World Champion - MTB Hall of Famer - Baltimore native Marla Streb

We NOW DELIVER beer, pizza and more by bicycle (check map on our website- www.HandleBarCafe.com)

We offer Vigilante specialty coffee and espresso, wood-fired pizza and burritos by chef Chris Marquis as well as craft beer, wine and house cocktails

Our bike shop features several bike lines and accessories. If you buy a bike, Marla will take you for a ride or skills session (if you like)

Free indoor parking in Fells Point/Harbor East for bicycles. Plenty of car parking (in lot) across the street.

FREE & FUN social rides, skills clinics, bike activities, movie premieres and other events are staged here! Check our events schedule

I rarely give out 5 star reviews because no place is perfect... But it didn't feel right giving it 4. This place nails it. Cool atmosphere. Welcoming and personable staff. Great food. Clean. Music was awesome too. I just really enjoyed it there. I liked the Bloody Mary was on point too with their in house made horse radish sauce I think they said it was? I look forward to coming back here.

Stopped by for lunch today and after about 20 min or so the waiter who was very friendly told us that he did not know where the chef had went and our food had not been made. He asked my friend who had asked for a pizza if he would like to switch to a burger because now someone was there to cook but I didn’t really understand why he could not get his pizza. After about another 20 min or so we told the other gentlemen working there to let the waiter know we could not wait any longer because we needed to get back to work. We left the cafe and the second gentlemen came out and stated that a well done burger takes 20 min as if we should have been patient and had not already waited long enough. I did not understand all the confusion with trying to get a meal and I did not appreciate the employees attitude as if we were not patient after waiting almost an hour. I think this is something for the manager to address as this is not how paying customers should be treated.

Great tasting good with a variety of choices. Fantastic casual atmosphere with the bi-cycles and bi-cycle accessories surrounding you. Staff is friendly and quick to meet your gustational needs. Check out the posters and maps under the thick protective table coatings. They also have simulated velo racing that you can compete against others in the bar area.
