Hanisch Bakery and Coffee Shop is located in the the heart of historic downtown Red Wing. It features a full line scratch bakery as well as a coffee shop that has daily lunch specials, full espresso bar, and over 11 daily flavors of coffee. Great bakery. The dine-in area is really chill. Easy place to bring kids, although make sure you get them a donut or bring snacks if they're really hungry. The food takes a while to come out.

Great bakery that is a must if you are going through red wing. Can't go wrong with any of the donuts or caramel cinnamon rolls. The best hidden item in the store is their frozen poppyseed cheese bread. I have to make special trips to pick up more on occasion for people in the cities. Their frozen meals are amazing too if you want to pass off a home cooked meals as your own.

Honestly one of my favorite spots in red wing. It's tiny so seating can be limited, but for a bakery even the regular food is good. Of course it shines the brightest as a bakery. You can really tell the effort that goes into the quality. Some of the best pastries I've ever had.

Best bakery in town - period.  Food in the restaurant is very good as well.  Always service with a smile from the gang at Hanisch!

We got a variety of desserts from Hanisch for our wedding day and they were a huge hit! Everyone loved having something other than the standard wedding cake to choose from and we saved a lot of money by doing a variety of things. We had two different kinds of cupcakes, cake pops, cookie dough brownies (my favorite), cookies and mini apple donuts! They were great to work with throughout the whole process and even delivered everything and set up for us. Definitely use them for your wedding! You and your guests will love it :)
