Hansen Family Hospital is a critical access hospital serving the rural communities in and around Hardin County, Iowa. We opened our completely new and modern hospital facility in April of 2014. Our organization includes a 20-bed hospital with emergency and ancillary services, three primary care family health clinics: Ackley Medical Center, Ellsworth Family Medicine and Iowa Falls Clinic; as well as Women's Health Clinic and Surgery Clinic.

I went into the ER with a fishhook in my thumb in June.  I was well treated at the reception, by the staff and doctors.  It took a little while after to get my paperwork, but besides that, everything went smoothly.

This is one of the worst hospitals in the area.I went in with chest pains and left arm weekness.They said i slept on my arm wrong,i don't sleep on that side.I haven't for years.Still have chest pains and left arm weakness.This hospital needs new doctors and sued for medical malpractice.If you value your life,seek another provider.

They shouldn't even have a Emergency Room. The receptionist was rude and took her over five times of asking to understand a simple first name. People who walked in after us and didn't even have life threading emergencies were seen before us. We waited over three hours and still hadn't been seen we ended up walking out. I wouldn't ever waste my time going here again I think I would have better luck at the circus.

Every time I've gone here for the ER, they've never been really sure of what was going on and I've had to see my primary care provider. The doctors office part is excellent if you see Brie but the ER is awful.

I had one of the kindest nurses help me through the nurses holine. Every person I talked to was sincere and kind. Thank you for everything you do.
