Backwoods BMW dealership shared with a Lincoln dealership. Very odd pairing. In western Michigan you have two options if you are a BMW enthusiast/owner: Zeigler, and Sharpe in Grand Rapids. Both are TERRIBLE dealerships which at best should be investigated by BMW corporate to see if they live up to BMW dealership ideals/standards. At worst they should have their dealer licenses revoked by corporate. Zeigler rarely has rentals for customers (standard for any BMW service center), they do not complete work in a timely manner, and their service department treats you on their most polite, helpful day like a Ford owner. BMW is a premium brand, and should have a premium experience. Have an upcoming oil change or repair that would normally be covered by BMW comprehensive warranty? Zeigler won't let you know it's upcoming, and they definitely won't offer to complete that work while you're there for an unrelated service appointment. BMW has standard intervals for service that dealers must adhere to. Zeigler apparently has a policy to follow these intervals to an absolute T (300 miles from the interval? Need a return appointment!) with zero concern for customer, customer schedule, or repeated visits. This is only one example of poor customer service you will experience with Zeigler "BMW". Having been a BMW enthusiast and brand loyalist for many years and having dealt with dealerships across the country. Zeigler is the worst. Can someone say, opportunity for a competitive dealership in this region to compete against Zeigler and Sharpe? Sharpe isn't far behind on the list of loser dealerships in western Michigan. Take your vehicle to South Bend or Indy where you can find a knowledgeable, professional dealership and service department who values the ultimate driving machine, your time, and investment. Garbage dealership for garbage people.

This is a review of the service department. Pros: 1.The staff were friendly if unable to actually provide help or answers. 2.Able to get appointments quickly. Cons: 1. They do not notice basic things. I brought my car in for an oil change and a recall. My check engine light was on which I assumed had to do with the recall (I shouldn't have assumed). They worked on my car all day and never noticed the check engine light or asked me if I wanted them to check on it. When I picked it up the light was still one and when I asked them how a group of mechanics wouldn't notice that, they had no answer. 2. They can't do work in a timely manner. My car was making a sound so I brought it in to them for diagnosis. I told them they could keep it all day so it could get fixed. They called at 4 p.m. to tell me what the problem was and ask if they could keep it overnight since it would take 3 hours of work to fix it. I had dropped off my car in the morning so when I asked how they weren't able to do 3 hours of work in 7 hours, they had no answer. 3. Incredibly overpriced! For the above mentioned sound, they quoted me a price of about $1,300 to fix it. Between their prices and poor customer service I decided to try another shop. When I brought my car to the other shop they were able to diagnose and fix it within a couple of hours plus they did it all for $275. That's a $1,000 savings over the Harold Ziegler service center. 4. Do not expect to hear from them in a timely manner. They said that to fix my car they would need to order a part. This was on Wednesday and they said they would call me Friday when the part came in to make an appointment. Didn't hear from them so that's when I decided to make the appointment at the other shop. OVER A MONTH later they called me to say they got the part in and actually seemed surprised when I said I got my car fixed someplace else since I hadn't heard from them in so long. 5. I never received any apologies or explanations for the horrible customer service and pricing. Do not bring your car here to get fixed.
