We really enjoyed our stay! The river sites offer stunning views! Great for small traval trailers. Most accommodating staff we have ever and the pleasure dealing with camping..Thanks Mat!

Do not choose site 41. The other trail lots (38-40) were well maintained with nice soft grass and shaded lots. 41 was rocky and infested with daddy-long-leg spiders and sunny. We were camping in a tent and we chose the site furthest lot away from the train. (Bring ear plugs. I cosleep with my 11 month old so it's not safe to wear ear plugs. You could still hear the trains as far away as we were. Luckily the train didn't affect the kids' sleep.) Well, it truly is away from the whole center of the campground. Walked nearly a quarter of a mile one way to get to the bathroom. Bathrooms weren't real toilets but trailer type toilets. They were regularly maintained (I saw them cleaning it). Never looked at the shower room. Because we were the "trail sites", there's little to no access to your cars (unless you want to walk the quarter of a mile). The trail sites truly are just that-- for trail camping not car camping. Petey is the caretaker there and was super hospitable and opened the gates for us to drive back to our site and unload our stuff and then move our car to the parking lot. But if Petey would have been a jerk, our weekend would have been a mess with two kids and our car camping. If we'd have been closer to the main part of the campground, the train would have been unbearably loud at night, but we would have been closer. Perfect camping for trail campers (the trail sites) and for college students and families with older kids (the main area/cabins etc). But with a 4 year old and a one year old, it was kind of a mess. I want to reiterate that Petey, the caretaker really did all he could do help make our stay nice. Site 41 needs to be redone (fault of the campground.) But the rest of the place has it's positive points, it just didn't fit our needs.

This was a horrible experience. We were in site 18. The last tent spot before the private area beyond the fence. There was a private party beyond the fenced area and they weren't supposed to have any more vehicles after 10 but they did not follow the rules. They were drunk a-holes and inconsiderate of the tent we were in right there. The vehicles going by, the pizza delivered at night, the hollering, the bikes going back and forth, the golf cart running in and out all night. Not cool. The space was on a slant, which sucked but I guess you could move the tent to the other side and rearrange everything. It was under a nice canopy of trees and you could see the water but that was it. The bathroom/showers up the hill were ok. The zipline was cool but it was right over the campsite. Wack. The train was annoying as well as the obnoxious horn honking as you went through the tunnel. You can not get away from the train noise or the cars honking. I was glad we were only staying one night. I will not go back here ever again to camp.

You need to be warned about the trains. AT LEAST once an hour, all night long, a train will go past and it is so loud it sounds like 1000 screaming banshees inside your tent. It's so bad, it turns a 4/5 campground into a 1/5 campground. Earplugs do nothing. You could be screaming inside your tent while the train is going past and your tent-mate would have no idea. Unless you are completely deaf, just stay at the KOA. It doesn't have a view, but at least you will be able to sleep.

Nice large spot next to the river. Beautiful views. Accommodating and helpful staff. Bathrooms were clean. Zipline above campsite. Nice trails surrounding area. I enjoyed my stay and will return.
