Very bright and clean store. The staff are friendly and genuinely want to help customers. The store is organized very well and it is easy to find what you are looking for. The produce is fresh and the deli has a good variety of cold cuts and meats. I like this place better than Wegman's. I can find more name brand products at better prices. There is a free membership to get coupons and additional savings. You can download an app to have your membership number handy and see in-store specials, or you can use the card.

It's been a good grocery store with decent service and prices. But a couple of recent experiences sparked concern. In one, the prices were not marked right for the product, and the clerk would not take back an item that I had just paid for that I didn't want since it was not the right one. She said the customer service was closed, and no one else could do a return, which seems like a relatively easy thing for a cashier to do. She told me to come back the next day. I told her I work and raise kids and don't have unlimited time to visit Harris Teeter. But the second situation was the bigger issue. Usually the chicken salad and other items at the deli and food bars are good. But this time after making a sandwich with the rotisserie chicken salad, I took a bite and discovered something small, jagged and hard. It was a bone that was big enough to have made me choke had I swallowed it. I have photos to prove this occurred. So you can definitely say I have a bone to pick with this Harris Teeter..... The manager did contact me and apologize for the bone. So they are trying.

I can't have dairy, and I can't find anything I normally buy here. Like, nothing. Instead I go to Giant where I find plenty of options. Whoever orders for this place is either oblivious or doesn't care a lick about those needing to avoid dairy. As a result, even though overall it's a decent grocery store and I live only a block away, I hate shopping here. My vote: amp up the natural foods/allergen-conscious options stat!

Fresh fruits and vegetables. Open 24 hrs and easy access. Prices are competitive and good discounts. Not enough cashiers sometimes can cause issue otherwise good place to shop.

I don't shop here for basic groceries (Giant is a few roads over and $0.40 cheaper on almost everything that's a general grocery) but Harris Teeter has a great hot bar and produce selection, so I will make special trips just for those things now and again. Would definitely recommend for those things!
