Not an hour ago, in front of my neighbors home, 4-5 officers took down a gentleman who was being bizarre, growling and such. They handled the situation quickly and professionally. With confidence and awesome teamwork. No yelling hitting, no fuss. They parceled him up and calmly waited for the ambulance to take him way. Thanks guys, you are the reason I stay in Hartford CT. .

Called 911 four times as the police failed to show when a group of vandals destroyed my vehicle with a stone slab. No one came till the morning and this happened around 8pm. Officer that did show in the morning said he did not know of the incident till he checked. This could have turned into a much bigger incident as i am prepared and trained to defend myself. If i would have been a no show like that when i served in the army i would have been given an article 15. Extremely unprofessional.

I just called for some info on parking tickets that people are suddenly getting on my street. A very nice and patient officer helped me but had info on who I should contact. He was very kind but I don't know his name

Who you going to call, not this police department! Let me start off by saying, I know a lot off officer's at this department and they are by far cool, intelligent and caring individuals that love this community however most of this dispatching team completely suck and they are the first impression that gives any department the name they deserve! To be honest, in order for this department to triumph over the rest they need better dispatchers that care about the people in this community and individuals that are intelligent about the law. I wanted to be a hartford police officer for a long time but hell I think I just might become part of the Hartford Dispatching team.lol In order for people to see Hartford police officer's GREATNESS it starts through the dispatching team, so a new team of dispatchers are needed.

Called to get police to file a report for hit and run, the lady that picked up the phone and said to bring the car to them. I asked for someone to show up and do at it a location it was located it and then she said that they dont do it for that county. I had to get smart and be pissed over the phone for her to finally stop interrupting me and explain what I had to do correctly and who to call. This place is a joke.
