I was a victim of bank fraud a few days ago.Someone had forged a few of my checks and cashed them in Waterbury.I went to the police dept.after I went to the bank to freeze my account.I got copies of the cashed checks with the persons name on them.The officer told me there is really nothing they can do.The bank had returned my money,and therefore the officer said I was made whole.If the bank wanted to press charges they would have to file a report to the police.The bank didn't want to pursue it either because it cost more money to pursue it than what they would recover.What about the person that did the crime?Isn't forgery and stealing someones money a crime? I called the Waterbury police dept.and they filed a report,and I will be going to Waterbury with my info next week to talk to a detective to start the process of finding who did this.I know it isn't the crime of the century,but if you let someone get away with theft,what's to discourage them from doing it again? I am really disappointed in the lack of effort to even make a few phone calls to investigate.

Yet another bad,bad review of vernon pd. Vernon police know as much about laws concerning dogs as a newborn baby. My friends dog was attacked by a pitt bull (owner negligence on pitts owner) i personally know and have had my tiny chihuahua around the other dog (great Pyrenees) and he is as gentle as a lamb. You told said apartment manager (equally as ignorant as vernon pd) to evict both residents. That's NOT the law in unleashed dog park on apartment property) I have seen numerous attacks outside my window while living in that apartment complex and it is the type of owners who don't know the pitt breed,deal in drugs,uneducated and have a breed that's ostracized because of the way the OWNER treats them. So you were wrong to say that vernon pd,you weren't there and you don't know dog laws. I'm not surprised as this isn't the first time your stupidity astounded me. So on that note...brush up on dog laws and in the last complaint I had,service dog laws concerning disabled people. Keep the animals and residents of vernon safe from harm and discrimination,DO YOUR JOBS.

I say with absolutely certainty that Michael Anthony is a bad cop. He is so incompetent it's hard to know if it's his incompetency that makes him a bad copy or if he is actually corrupt. But his commanders including the captain and chief support his horrible behavior and outright lies.
