George was our salesman.  He convinced us to purchase the extended warranty guardsman gold furniture protection plan.  It cost us $299.99!!  We asked about the plan because we have animals and purchasing our first high end leather sectional that alone cost $2850 does that warranty cover cat claws.  He advised us it DID.  Without hesitation we took it.  Well our cats haven't been the problem, apparently our dogs like to nest although its been unwitnessed we have what looks like abrasions on all the seats of the sectional.  No rips just scuffed.  We call and explained what I think happened and because I said "ANIMAL DAMAGE" its not covered.  I call the store and George calls me and says well let me see if our service dept can come look at it.  They call me and say well you have this service plan and they say its animal damage and we can't help you.  BOTTOM LINE...DO NOT BUY THE SERVICES PLANS...

To anyone who is thinking of purchasing furniture from Havertys....DON'T!
We spent over three thousand dollars on a leather sofa set in September 2015. I called the Port Charlotte FL store today December 26 2016 to have a technician look at a fault on a recliner chair. The color is literally separating from the leather, their response........it's out of your one year warranty. There are no children in the house and no pets. There are two adults who work all week long. This is not abuse or overuse. This is plainly a terrible product or workmanship. Take your pick!
I will not purchase another item from this company and will go to great lengths to tell everyone else not to either!
