Health Care For All (HCFA), a Massachusetts advocacy group, works to achieve a quality, affordable, accessible health care system for all state residents.
Health Care For All takes a unique approach, leveraging direct service, policy development, coalition building, community organizing, public education and outreach achieve our mission.
Our HelpLine fields 30,000 - 40,000 calls every year from people who need to connect to coverage. We help individuals enroll in public programs, get assistance paying for health insurance, and answer questions about private insurance. Our HelpLine counselors have their ear to the ground. They know what barriers consumers and patients face. From these thousands of calls, we monitor the trends and develop public policy to address the health care challenges of state residents. We work with state, federal, and local administrations to improve our health care system. We convene and are a part of many coalitions to address specific issues.
Our coalitions have had great success. From Massachusetts health reform in 2006 to payment and delivery system reform in 2012, Health Care For All always plays an important role in catalyzing meaningful change. Our advocacy team builds relationships with key decision-makers, but we know that real power comes from the bottom-up. That's why we organize -- person by person -- to develop new health care leaders who make their voices heard.
HCFA seeks to create a consumer-centered health care system that provides comprehensive, affordable, accessible, culturally competent, high quality care and consumer education for everyone, especially the most vulnerable.
