Heartland has the best prices I've found - even with discounts - among the online pharmacies.  They do seem like a smaller business though, so plan your ordering carefully.  Shipping seems to take longer than most online businesses.  I'm still giving them 4 stars because of their prices, their ease of ordering, and especially because of my customer service experience.  

I ordered my dog's Cushing's Disease medicine on the Friday before Easter.  Bad timing on my part... so when I hadn't received a shipping email by the next  Friday - and I was getting low on the medicine - I called their customer support.  The representative was understanding of my issue and spoke with the pharmacy (or as she said - "walked back to the pharmacy" - small business!) and my order was expedited and shipped out same day.  I received it two days later on Sunday.  Thank you!

So don't be afraid to order from this worthy business.  Just make sure you allow enough time to process and ship.  From now on, I'll allow two weeks.

If you want a great price and great delivery, Heartland Veterinary Supply is the place to order from.  Their customer service is awesome!  We just adopted a puppy and needed to get him on Revolution ASAP and it was taking time to get a signature on the prescription from the vet.  The ladies at Heartland worked with me to get the items I ordered out quickly.  I received them in 2 days!  A pleasure to work with.  You can just see their smiles on the phone.  Thank you Heartland!

First time using this Pharmacy and the last. Placed an order 8 days ago for antibiotics for my dog and my vet called the prescription in that day leaving a message. My vet called them the next day to actually speak to someone about the prescription as well. My vet called me several times this past week asking why they kept calling for verification when my vet had already spoken to them. I called and spent half an hour on the phone because they couldn't find any records of my prescription and kept putting me on hold to talk to their supervisor about the problem. Two days later and I contacted my vet and they said they had spoken to several different people but still have someone calling to verify my prescription. I have called several times and no one seems to know anything about what I'm talking about. They keep saying they call my vet but no one gets back to them. I called the day I placed the order to have the prescription faxed over to get it faster. I would think after 8 days they'd have my prescription verified. It also states in their site that it takes 24-48 hours after prescription verification for it to be shipped then shipping is 5 days+. They have yet to get back to me about my prescription. So I'm hopefully going to get my dogs meds in another week. According to their website I should of received it by now. But I'm definitely not ordering from them again.

Company didn't keep me updated on my order.  I received and email stating they would contact my Vet but never received an email stating the Vet had approved the meds for my dog.  I had not heard anything from the company for almost a week and a half so I call for status and the order had just gone to be filled.  The whole process took about 14 days.   I have ordered from other companies in the pass and had much better service.  If I was to order from this company again I would be sure to do it far in advance.  Price isn't everything.  One good thing I can say is the person I spoke with on the phone I was checking the status of my order was very professional and pleasant.

This is one of the best places I have been to get my prescription dog products from.   Friendly, knowledgeable staff, and prompt service.  You can search high and low and I guarantee HVS can either meet or beat the competitions' prices.  If you have a minute drop in and at least get a catalog.  Thanks again, Heartland Vet Supply.
