Camping sites in this park are very spacious and bathrooms are clean. There are a lot of nice hikes both short 1mile and long 5 miles that take you through the redwoods and over rivers etc. Some have ocean views. It was cooler than I expected at night because of the damp air at night.

Excellent campground. Lots of shade from old oak trees. Don't miss the wonderful 1 mile hike down to San Lorenzo river, through redwoods, to a sandy river beach. We were pleasantly surprised at the lack of mosquitoes.

A little crowded , over overall pretty good weekend trip.

15 minute drive from Santa Cruz, towering redwoods speckle trails that bring you to the San Lorenzo River. Very busy on weekends, even in Autumn. ~$30/night, water, bathrooms, showers but water heater was broken. Poison oak found throughout the area. Fair amount of privacy between campsites. Cool spot! Check it out!

Gorgeous campsite. Watch for poison oak in the inner camp sites. Beautiful, sandy trails. Cool Junior Ranger trainings and other family summer activities. Lots of water spigots (1 to every 3 camps). A variety of campsites and sizes. Did I mention there are Redwood groves? Leashed pets allowed; they must be in a tent or car at night. A really nice campsite.
