Passing through for a week with the pup and looked for somewhere nearby to take him and get his energy out. Directions were pretty easy from google maps, if you see the skate park you'll see the dog park. There's separate areas for small and large dogs however they do share the same entrance (your typical 2 way gate) to the respective sections. The large dog side was mostly wood chips and from what I could tell at dusk, relatively clean. There were 2 large metal bowls available plus a hose line to refill. We were only 1 of 4 dogs there during the visit so it wasn't crazy... but my dog would literally sprint laps without others to play with if my wife and I separate and tell him to go get the other. Long story short, worth checking out if you need a totally fenced in/secure park with plenty of space to run.

I’ve visited a lot of dog parks in Santa Cruz County with our new pup and all have had attentive dog owners but for some reason this park seems to attract vey bad dog owners and their unruly dogs. My pup was jumped by three dogs today and none of their owners reacted with apropriate concern or correction. One dog pinned him down while another one bit him. He has a gash on his face now grom the attack. When he managed to get up another dog began humping him. None of the owners came over to correct thier dogs or apologize for their dog. It ended only because I picked up my puppy and left. So glad these people are not my nextdoor neighbors and I sure hope they aren’t raising kids.

I went to my cousin's 3rd birthday here at Skypark. it's a very big park, it has a huge huge play center, it has a skatepark, it has a place for birthdays, AND it is dog friendly! I highly recommend it.
