Very unhelpful staff in the jewelry department. Had to wait forever just to get a simple question answered. Felt completely ignored. Took way too long to check out.

Wow. To begin, what can you purchase with the coupons constantly sent? This store is always a mess. The employees are unfriendly and poorly trained. Almost every experience I have encountered there, the door alarms go off. So then, I have to go back and stand in an incredibly long line (again) because no one can figure out how to take off the sensors. Also, why send a birthday coupon if it doesn't work on anything? Waste of paper and postage.

Exceptionally poor service. Approached a service counter with two employees at their registers, having a conversation. They continued their conversation without acknowledging me or the other customers in line. At a break in the conversation I asked if they could help me with a return and the employee processed the return without speaking to or looking at me aside from holding out her hand for my credit card. If you go to herbergers looking for exceptional quality or service, you're in the wrong spot. I'm not aiming for a high end experience there. But the very minimum components of a person to person interaction don't seem like too much to expect

Asked a worker in the home section department about an item and she said "Not my department." With an attitude. Well sweetheart it's called your JOB so DO IT! Don't tell me to walk to the other end of the store. You either page someone or look it up on your computer in front of you.
