This park is property previously owned by my parents; Clyde & Bernice Barfield, where I grew up. This land was always a great place for families, kids especially. There was so much to do. Climb trees & eat the fruits  (various apples & plum trees). Too bad the city did not save one apple tree or plum tree. I caught tadpoles, frogs & snakes from a pond in back yard. My dad had a garden of veggies & grape vines we ate from yearly.
We had various farm animals also; chickens, ducks, geese, cows & pigs. Our cows & pigs were our pets which had names. Those sure were Good Old Days!! 

I'm glad city made this piece of property a park, where families can still gather for good times.

Nice park. Quiet. My dog loves the trails in the wooded area. Nice place for shade too. They recently added some landscaping. It looks good. Large open grassy field and a basketball hoop next to a kids playground. This park has a little something for everyone.

This is a lovely park to have a picnic,  take a walk,  throw a frisbee,  and even pick up a free book (there's a tiny bookcase)😊.

Good park.  Designed for neighborhood with "limited" parking.  Beware the homeless crowds sleeping in the forested areas.  I'm happy that the prior residence falling apart home got replaced with a park.  Ups the value of the neighborhood.

(Clean out the homeless clientele in the shrubs and I might be more apt to return.  I feel for them as I volunteer next to them daily but these particular individuals are hostile.)
