Was passing through for work and stopped here for breakfast. What a fantastic place and their food is great homemade stuff. Ill be sure to stop in everytime I pass through, even though I live 190 miles away! Keep up the great work! We need more places like this in our country.

Adorable country general store with amazing views of the lake. Hero's Welcome is pretty much exactly what I pictured when I imagined with the Champlain Islands would be like, and it didn't disappoint. The main building has a deli/cafe and a lot of fun items to browse through. A word of caution - it's packed tight in there, so you may want to leave your stroller in the car if possible. The back building has all sorts of water/sport/fishing related items, including live bait. The young clerk working there was kind enough to show us everything we needed to fish from our dock, and to show us how to get out rod set up. Friendly staff, great selection, and beautiful views!

This is a fantastic place to stop in and grab lunch. There is a dock to pull up in a boat on, there is picnic seating, and ample parking should you arrive by car or motorcycle. There is gas here, as well as a nice country store with lots of odds and ends. There are also restroom facilities. I cannot recommend this spot enough, one of my favorite places to drop in when boating or motorcycling.
