3pm on Aug 15, 2017 (Elvis Week). We pop in for a late lunch since our hotel room wasn't ready. We ordered cheese dip with jalapenos on the side. Out came cheese dip with peppers in it and quite soupy. My mom cannot do spicy/hot and we asked if she could bring out plain dip since we know mistakes happen and I would eat the hot one. The waitress proceeds to tell my mom to try it and that it's not hot. After telling her several times she cannot eat it, the waitress explains they are out of cheese dip and cannot make more. How do you run out of cheese dip @ a Mexican restaurant? I tasted the cheese dip and it had a bizarre taste. I did not like it and wasn't worth the $5.25. Then, we wanted two beef crunchy tacos. They don't have crunchy shells, only soft ones. She went back to ask the chef about the crunchy shells & hamburger meat. She comes back to tell us they only have enough meat to make one. It was obvious at that point, this place was not for us so we checked out. We left the dip there. As we checked out, she finally apologized. Before the apology, she was quite rude to my mom and I. We went next to El Charro where the food and service were great.

By far one of my favorite Mexican joints! If you're looking for something authentic and not Americanized this is the place to go. Everything here is absolutely delicious!!

Ive eaten at herradero five times now and the foods is fantastic ruth is a great host environment is nice and clean you must try it for yourself

The wait time is a little lengthy but the food is so good and fresh, it's worth waiting for.
